Poison Dart: green to the point of venom
Poison Dart is a green spring perfume by Posh Stink: tomato leaf, galbanum, frog skin, bitter almond, wet soil and oakmoss, in 300 numbered bottles.

In short
Poison Dart is the spring fragrance of Posh Stink, a green perfume from the floor of the rainforest. It opens with crushed tomato leaf, galbanum and green mandarin, moves to a heart of frog skin, rainforest beetle and bitter almond, and settles on wet soil, oakmoss and musk. It ships in Spring 2028, in a single batch of 300 numbered bottles.
A frog that eats its venom
A poison dart frog is not born poisonous. It takes its venom from what it eats on the rainforest floor, ants, mites and small beetles carrying alkaloids, and stores it in its skin. Raised in captivity on fruit flies and crickets, the same frog becomes harmless.
Poison Dart is that floor: wet moss, crushed leaves and a bitter green. The colour says do not touch. The fragrance says wear it anyway.
Top notes: tomato leaf, galbanum and green mandarin
The opening of Poison Dart is the sharpest green in perfumery. Crushed tomato leaf smells like a greenhouse in May, and galbanum, a resin from a plant related to fennel, gives a bitter, almost metallic green that perfumers use in small doses because it takes over everything.
Green mandarin keeps it from being too severe, with the juice of an unripe fruit. The first 15 minutes of Poison Dart are bright, wet and bitter.
Heart notes: frog skin, beetle and bitter almond
The heart of Poison Dart is the danger. The frog skin accord is cool, damp and slightly sweet, like a wet leaf; the rainforest beetle accord adds a dry, woody, insect-like edge.
Bitter almond gives the hint of venom, the marzipan bitterness people associate with poison. It is the most unexpected stage of the fragrance, and the one that lasts longest in the heart.
Base notes: wet soil, oakmoss and musk
The base of Poison Dart is the forest floor after rain. Wet soil and oakmoss give the earthy, shaded depth of a classic chypre, the family of perfumes built on moss since the early 20th century.
Musk softens it into skin. Poison Dart ends green and calm, the opposite of how it started.
Who it is for
Poison Dart is for people who love green perfume and find most spring scents too sweet. It is fresh without being clean, and bitter without being harsh.
It is an eau de parfum of 100 ml at £316, made once, in a batch of 300 numbered bottles, and it ships in Spring 2028 to the people on its waiting list.
Beautiful and dangerous. Green to the point of venom.
