The fourth dimension of scent
Posh Stink began with one idea: the fourth dimension of scent is time. A perfume moves through a day, opening loud, settling on the skin and fading into something quieter by night. Posh Stink stretches the same movement across a year, with one fragrance for each of the 4 seasons.
The four fragrances are Smoky Magma for summer, Monkey Punch for autumn, Cold Tsunami for winter and Poison Dart for spring. Each one has a single colour that runs through its bottle, its photograph and every word written about it: red, orange, white and green.
One batch, 300 numbered bottles
A Posh Stink fragrance is made once a year, in a single batch of 300 numbered bottles. When the batch is gone, the fragrance is gone until the next year, and the next batch is never exactly the same, because the raw materials are not.
This is the oldest rule of niche perfume: the scent decides the quantity, not the other way round. A designer perfume is planned for millions of bottles and has to please everyone in an airport. A niche perfume can afford to smell of volcanic ash, of durian or of a frog.
Why the notes are strange
The notes of a Posh Stink fragrance are chosen to be remembered: black lava salt and birch tar, monkey-spit coffee and rotten papaya, frozen mint and cannabis leaf, crushed tomato leaf and wet soil. Each one has a story, and the story is the reason it is in the bottle.
Strange does not mean unwearable. Every fragrance is built like a classic eau de parfum, with a bright opening, a heart that lasts for hours and a base that stays on the skin into the next day. The strangeness is the first impression; the structure is what keeps you wearing it.
How to get a bottle
Posh Stink does not sell in shops or on marketplaces. Each fragrance has its own waiting list on poshstink.uk, and the list opens the batch for that season: Smoky Magma in Summer 2027, Monkey Punch in Autumn 2027, Cold Tsunami in Winter 2027 and Poison Dart in Spring 2028.
Every bottle is 100 ml of eau de parfum at £316. The number on the bottle is its place in the batch, from 1 to 300.
One batch a year. When it is gone, it is gone.
